A bit of an abstract one here. I just liked the clash of coulours between the reds and yellows. Bokeh could be better but I don't have a prime that long and that fast to take a shot like this.

10/11/12 E-M5 and mZD 14-150 Combination3145
E-M5 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 500 • E-M5 • Olympus • mZD 14-150
10/10/12 E-M5 and mZD 14-150 CombinationI just keep coming back to this lens over and over again. It's so small and compact and produces great images at either end on the zoom range that I just can't leave it at home. Granted, it's not as good as the Olympus m4/3 prime lenses but there are quite a few times I just cannot zoom with my feet. 1461
E-M5 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 200 • E-M5 • Olympus • mZD 14-150
10/09/12 Olympus mZD 75-300My personal opinion about keeping animals in zoos and the like? Well, there's only one reason for it and that is to keep the species alive. The era of the normal zoo where people go to see animals kept in smal cages with no room to move, is coming to an end. And I'm glad of it. Slightly OT I know but since this is my photoblog I'm entiltled to it I suppose.
This is the last of the mZD 75-300 images for now but if I get any requests for more I can still post some. I've now accumulated quite a few from a couple of outings with it. This is definately a lens to take with me on my holidays together with the E-M5. I can strongly recommend it. 2372
E-M5 Focal Length: 194 mm Aperture: f/6.1 Exposure Time: 1/320 sec ISO: 400 • Olympus • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
10/08/12 Olympus mZD 75-300This park was pretty amazing. They had really everything for the family outing from huge playgrounds to bird avaiaries, and these Asian small-clawed otters. There was a pair of them making one hell of a racket. This was the female and pretty restless it was too. Would hardly stay in one place for more than a couple of seconds. 1991
E-M5 Focal Length: 300 mm Aperture: f/6.7 Exposure Time: 1/125 sec ISO: 1600 • Olympus • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
10/07/12 Olympus mZD 75-300This is another one of the same flower taken some 30 seconds later. I waited until the hoverfly came out again. The reason for this image was to see if I could get sharp images again and again with this lens. This was taken at 251mm, an in-between focal length, which is something I don't do too often. As you can see, this lens, together with the in-body image stabilisation system works great together. 2258
E-M5 Focal Length: 215 mm Aperture: f/6.2 Exposure Time: 1/640 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
10/06/12 Olympus mZD 75-300Looking back through my image made with the Olympus 14-150 and the 75-300, I've noticed that I use the longest focal length a ot. So if I'm using the 14-150 I'll use the lens a lot at 150 and same goes for the 75-300. Then I'll switch over to the extreme and use the shortest focal length. I have just noticed this and I really don't know why I do it. I hardly have any images with an in-between setting. 1843
E-M5 Focal Length: 300 mm Aperture: f/6.7 Exposure Time: 1/1250 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • mZD 75-300
10/05/12 Olympus mZD 75-300I don't know why but this image reminds me of a Japanese garden, although I certainly wasn't in one. What made me take the photo was the light falling on the tree in the middle. A magic moment for me. Again handheld. 2181
E-M5 Focal Length: 75 mm Aperture: f/4.8 Exposure Time: 1/320 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • mZD 75-300
10/04/12 Olympus mZD 75-300I thought I'd test the lens for any CA. As you can see, nothing. Not a hint of it. I did this with quite a few object at different angles to the sun but I really couldn't find any. This is how it came out, I have done no CA reduction in LR or Photoshop. 2129
E-M5 Focal Length: 75 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/1250 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • mZD 75-300
10/03/12 Olympus mZD 75-300Another flower I know, but don't they make great test models. Look at the sharpness of this image with lovely bokeh. 1660
E-M5 Focal Length: 270 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • mZD 75-300
10/02/12 Olympus mZD 75-300Notice how I'm back to the square format. I just can't help it with the Olympus cameras. It just suits me fine. My most hated format right now is 3:2 which all APS-C cameras have. Maybe that's why I've gone off these cameras at the moment. I even find 4:3 better. Must be just a phase I'm going through...right? 1646
