Even at 75mm (150mm in 35mm terms) you can still see the compression in the lanscape that is not visible at shorter focal lengths. These mountain ranges are miles apart in reality, but appear to be just behind each other in this image. I don't get a chance to photograph something like this too often, so when I do get the chance I take as many different photographs as I can at every folcal length at my disposal. With the 75-300 lens attached I worked the scene but the best image came out at the 75mm setting. There was just enough of the mountain ranges visible to show the compression. 

What an excellent lens this is. Much prefer it over the Panasonic 100-300. This was taken at 75 at f8. I'll be posting some shots taken at 300mm soon so watch out for those. Yes, it's dearer than the Panasonic but well worth it in my opinion.

This park was pretty amazing. They had really everything for the family outing from huge playgrounds to bird avaiaries, and these Asian small-clawed otters. There was a pair of them making one hell of a racket. This was the female and pretty restless it was too. Would hardly stay in one place for more than a couple of seconds.

This is another one of the same flower taken some 30 seconds later. I waited until the hoverfly came out again. The reason for this image was to see if I could get sharp images again and again with this lens. This was taken at 251mm, an in-between focal length, which is something I don't do too often. As you can see, this lens, together with the in-body image stabilisation system works great together.

Looking back through my image made with the Olympus 14-150 and the 75-300, I've noticed that I use the longest focal length a ot. So if I'm using the 14-150 I'll use the lens a lot at 150 and same goes for the 75-300. Then I'll switch over to the extreme and use the shortest focal length. I have just noticed this and I really don't know why I do it. I hardly have any images with an in-between setting.

I don't know why but this image reminds me of a Japanese garden, although I certainly wasn't in one.  What made me take the photo was the light falling on the tree in the middle. A magic moment for me. Again handheld. 

I thought I'd test the lens for any CA. As you can see,nothing. Not a hint of it. I did this with quite a few object at different angles to the sun but I really couldn't find any. This is how it came out, I have done no CA reduction in LR or Photoshop.

Another flower I know, but don't they make great test models. Look at the sharpness of this image with lovely bokeh.

Notice how I'm back to the square format. I just can't help it with the Olympus cameras. It just suits me fine. My most hated format right now is 3:2 which all APS-C cameras have. Maybe that's why I've gone off these cameras at the moment. I even find 4:3 better. Must be just a phase I'm going through...right?
