09/25/11 Back AgainBeen away for three weeks and had a great time. Shame that all is back to normal.
Thought I would post an image from my trip. Hope you like it. Very simple and minimalistic. Just up my street.
More images from my trip to follow. I have a lot of work to do on these images and it's going to take some time but I'll post if I think an image is worth it.
One strange thing I've noticed in the last couple of years. I used to count the images as individuals, nowadays I just count the images in Gigabytes. Then I have a fair idea of how much work I'll have processing them all.
I don't know how you do it but I'm a pure raw shooter and I at least look at every image I bring home. 1285
E-P3 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/160 sec ISO: 200 09/01/11 Great Light IVThis is the last in the series and the last entry for a couple of weeks.
Any wishes regarding cameras or lenses, I'll try and get them answered.
See you in a couple of weeks. 1266
E-P2 Focal Length: 25 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/100 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • m4/3 • mZD 14-150
08/29/11 Great Light IIII should have calledthis "Fly Away" or something like that because I didn't realise there was a plane in the image which just took off from the airport which is situated just around the corner from me. I took a lot of images on this occation the light was just great. Nothing special either, just point the camera and let it do it's own thing. 1088
E-P2 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/320 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • E-P2 • m4/3 • mZD 14-150
08/27/11 Great Light IIHere is another one just processed. Pretty abstact but it's the very low sun reflecting off these strange looking clouds. Just amazing. I've still got a couple to go so I might post some more in the next few days. 1321
E-P2 Focal Length: 29 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/25 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • m4/3 • mZD 14-150 • E-P2
08/26/11 Great LightSome great light the other evening. I think it's the best I've even seen. Grabbed my E-P2 with the Oly mZD 14-150 on it and just sat outside taking pictures of what I saw. I thought I'd post some here. Hope you enjoy them too. 1471
E-P2 Focal Length: 39 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/50 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • E-P2 • mZD 14-150 • m4/3
08/25/11 Panasonic Lumix L1 VThis is the last for the present from this camera. After looking at a few past images I will definately be taking it on my next outing.
Hope you have enjoyed the ride. C&C always welcome as usual. 1376
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 69 mm Aperture: f/5.2 Exposure Time: 10/3200 sec ISO: 100 08/24/11 Panasonic Lumix L1 IVI just like the image quality I get from the L1. Of course the lenses has something to do with this as well as the sensor used. The only lenses I use with this camera is the PL 14-50 f2.8-3.5 and the Pl 14-150 f3.5-5.6.
They are sharp at every aperture throughout the focal range. I don't need to think about what aperture to use at a certain focal length. It just makes using this combination fun. I don't think I'll ever sell them, even though it only produces a 7.5MP file. 1478
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 22 mm Aperture: f/9.0 Exposure Time: 10/400 sec ISO: 100 08/23/11 Panasonic Lumix L1 IIIThree more to come in this series.
C&C welcome. 1636
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 109 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 10/8000 sec ISO: 100 08/21/11 Panasonic Lumix L1 IIThis is the second of a few L1 images I'll be posting.
Enjoy, and comment welcome. 1450
E-PL1 Focal Length: 147 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/750 sec ISO: 200 08/19/11 Panasonic Lumix L1I just saw a thread today comparing the image quality between the E-P2 and the Leica Digilux 3 (rebranded Panasonic L1 with a different processing engine) and I thought I'd look back through my images taken with the L1. I really like the images taken with that camera and I'm going to take it on my next holiday together with the Olympus E-P3. I'm going to take note at the end of how often I used each camera and the quality of the images I got from both. Although the Panasonic is ONLY a 7.5MP camera I have been very satisfied with it in the past, especially developing the raw files using Silkypix. I think the Silkypix/Panasonic thing really works well.
I'll post some images from both and I'll let you be the judge of image quality.
The next few days the images here will be those from the L1. Maybe you'll like them, but then again, maybe you won't. 1335
