I just liked how the cloud seems to whirl around the top of this bridge support. Note how clean contrasty and sharp this image is. This lens is staying right here.

07/01/12 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.5 on the Nex-5N IIITo me, this is the rendition I like from a lens, sharp but doesn't really look sharp. Not sure I explained that correctly but it remind me of the rendition a Leica lens gives you. 20770
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/640 sec ISO: 100 • Voigtlaender • Sony • Skopar • 50 f2.5 • Nex-5N
06/30/12 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.5 on the Nex-5N IIContinuing with the Skopar. Look how contrsty this lens is. I can't fault the sharpness either. Not much done to this image in post processing. 2002
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1000 sec ISO: 100 • Voigtlaender • Sony • Skopar • 50 f2.5 • Nex-5N
06/29/12 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.5 on the Nex-5N IThis is one lens that will stop me lusting after some Leica lenses costing thousands. Amazingly enough this only cost me a couple of hundred Euros. It is a Nikon mount and you would require a Nikon(S) to NEX adapter. Really small and really nice to use on the Nex-5N. The whole package is really small and weights next to nothing.
Contrast and rendition is fantastic and it is really a sharp lens. This one will stay with me forever, I just can't find a thing that I don't like about it. The next few posts will be from this lens, maybe you can judge for yourselves. 2025
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1000 sec ISO: 100 • Voigtlaender • Sony • Skopar • 50 f2.5 • Nex-5N
06/28/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8The last photograph for now. The only thing remaining to say is when using this lens be careful where you point it. Get the sun too close to the lens front element and you lose contrast pretty fast. if you look aback at the images I've posted with this lens in the last week you will see the sun has been kept clear of the front element. It was nearly always at my back. Front lighting. 2656
NEX-7 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/3200 sec ISO: 100 06/27/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Nex-7Just wanted to post a couple more images using this combination. If you want to see more there's a gallery under the Equipment heading. 3449
NEX-7 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1000 sec ISO: 100 06/26/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Nex-7There's not a lot say about the images from this lens except that they are really really nice. Just look at the detail in this photograph, and I can asure you, looking at a larger version it's simply amazing. This is the most expensive Leica I have and I'm not going to aquire any more. I've tried a couple of Voigtlaender lenses and they will do me fine at a fraction of the cost. 2001
NEX-7 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/800 sec ISO: 100 06/25/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Nex-7Again converted with Nik SFX2. Te detail here is just fantastic. Maybe there is something to these Leica lenses after all. Notice another square image, my favourite format nowadays. Lots of these to follow in the coming weeks. Give it a try, maybe you'll like. 2949
NEX-7 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1250 sec ISO: 100 06/24/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Nex-7Another one converted with SFX2. I really like the rendition on this image, something normally only Leica lenses give you. However, I have found a couple of lenses that give you the same quality and at a fraction of the cost. More on those lenses later in future posts. 2884
NEX-7 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/4000 sec ISO: 100 06/23/12 Leica Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Sony Nex-7Continuing my lens testing phase, I mounted the Leics Elmarit-M 90 f2.8 on the Sony Nex-7 to see what all this hysteria about the leica lenses is. Well, yes, they do possess this certain rendering quality. I must say it is nice when you first look at the images. Maybe that's why they cost thousands and I don't have those.
This was converted in Nik SFX2, which is still the best converter on the market. Very nice it turned out too, even if I do say so myself. I'm now wondering what this lens will produce on the Nex-5N. 2651
