This image from the Skopar I really like. The texture and the detain in the mushroom is great. I've only used this lens on an Olympus camera up to now, but planning on testing it on the Nex-5N as soon as I get a chance.

12/15/11 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.51784

12/14/11 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.5This really is a tiny lens and you have to get used to the quirky way to change aperture on it. To do this you have to holt the focusing ring with one hand and rotate the front element with the other. First time I've seen this but I suppose I can get used to it. I also had difficulty in getting sharp images with this one but looking at these, they seen alright. Rendition is typical of a Voigtlaender lens, and I really like it. 2199
E-P3 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/6 sec ISO: 800 • Voigtlaender • Skopar • 50 f2.5 • Olympus • E-P3 • m4/3 • manual focus
12/13/11 Voigtlaender 85 f3.5 adapted for m4/3This is a strange lens. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. Sort of a love hate relationship. This one turned out ok I think. Maybe that's because there's only grass in it. Only time will tell if stays with me. 1725
E-P2 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • E-P2 • Voigtlaender • 85 f3.5 • m4/3
12/11/11 Pentax SMC FA 43 f1.9There are some great lenses out there to use on these CSC systems. I agree that soem are not that cheap but this lens was bought some time ago and really didn't cost me that much. I think I could sell it today for much more than I bought it for. However, that is not the reason I have it. I get a lot of pleasure from my photographic equipment.
If you look at the image notice that there are a lot of trees in it but, only three really matter. Those are the three in the foreground. Try so see things in threes, three trees, three people, three buildings, it doesn't really matter. What's important is that you have three and only three of the same in the image. I believe it makes the composition much stronger. 1296
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 100 12/10/11 Minolta MD 135 f3.5Another one fro the Minolta, taken only minutes after the image in my previous post. Great colour, sharp and contrasty. I really can't complain. 1870
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1600 sec ISO: 200 12/09/11 Minolta MD 135 f3.5I take this type of image to see how the lens reacts to these high contrast areas. No CA seen here at all. Mayb the light was too good for this one but sometimes I like how the image turns out. Plenty of detail in this one. I believe the lens cost me in the region of 20 Euro. There are some real bargains out there if one has patience and is willing to shop around a little. Some of these cheap legacy lenses are the best I have, costing very little. 1980
NEX-5N Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 100 12/08/11 Sony Nex-5n and the 18-55 Kit LensOne taken with the Sony 18-55 kit lens. I think I got a good one because there's no decentering at all. Nice lighting, taken early evening during a lovely autumn day. There seems to be ample sampel variation with this lens, the later ones proving to better than the original released ones. 1359
NEX-5N Focal Length: 55 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 200 12/02/11 Voigtlaender 85 f3.5 adapted for m4/3An interesting effect here with this lens mounted on an Olympus E-P2. It looks pretty much likethe Diorama filter seen on a lot of new digital cameras. Lens is not bad but I may have to try it on a Nex camera. At this focal length focus is critical and very difficult to do on a m4/3 camera. 1698
E-P2 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/4000 sec ISO: 125 • Olympus • E-P2 • m4/3 • Voigtlaender • 85 f3.5
12/01/11 Voigtlaender Skopar 50 f2.5I've been having trouble getting used to this lens and I don't know why. It's a small lens with great build quality. Focusing is smooth and the aperture ring is very light. I've got other legacy lenses in the 50 range and I don't have a problem with them. Maybe I nees dome time with this lens. I haven't got many images that I have kept from this lens but this is one that I like. Focus is where I wanted it to focus and the colours and contrast are ok. Again, I may need to try this out on the Nex-5N. 1776
E-P3 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/25 sec ISO: 800 • manual focus • Voigtlaender • Skopar • 50 f2.5 • Olympus • E-P3 • m4/3
11/30/11 Pantax SMC FA 31 f1.8This one from the FA 31 f1.8 I like a lot. The sun shon through the leaves to where my wife stood illuminating just her face. I hadf to be quick on this one as it didn't last long, just a few seconds. I was quite surprised how the focusing seems to be bang-on. Practice makes perfect.
I'm going to be trying these lenses out on the Sony-5N pretty soon. I think I'm going to like the result. 1642
