The second one above from the Pentax 31 f1.8 was taken to see how the bokeh was on the m4/3 sensor. Looks great to me. I also like the texture and detail seen on the leaves. Quite impressed with the exposure from the E-P3 too. Hardy a thing dome to this image after converting from raw. That's the way I like it.

11/29/11 Pentax SMC FA 31 f1.81980
E-P3 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/100 sec ISO: 200 11/28/11 Pentax SMC FA 31 f1.8I just got around to processing some images from the Pentax 31 f1.8 adapted for the E-P3 m4/3 camera. Since I like to use these lenses wide open, it is sometimes very difficult to nail the focus where you want it, especially at f1.4 or f1.8. The depth of field is so small it takes me some time to get it right. This has caused many a misfocused image rady for the rubbish bin. However, practice makes perfect and that applies here too. The more you pictures you take, the easier it gets but, each lens is different and you have to get used to each one. So, if you are like me, a lens nut, then it takes time to get the best out of each and every lens.
I think I nailed focus here though. 1802
E-P3 Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/200 sec ISO: 200 11/27/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5After walking around this place for a couple of hours we stopped and had a coffee..again. Turned out the other couple at the other table were drinking a glass of great looking beer, so we had one too. It was great. I turned to my left and nearly hit my head on this lamp post. Out came the camera and I manually focused on the post. Another great one to see the bokeh quality of the Skopar. Not too shabby either, and that post is plenty sharp. 1528

11/26/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5I was thinking of dinner as I was taking this image. Joking. These chickens were roosting everywhere I looked, very colourful creatures. haven't a clue what they're called though. 1287

11/25/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5Truing to see what kind of bokeh this lens delivers. This is ok as far as I'm concerned. I have a feeling though that in some situations it's not so nice. I'll have to try and dig some of those out to post or I'll just try some more scenes out. I was quite close to this branch and the wife added some more interest in the backgrouns as she was collecting acorns for the wild boars. They seem to love them. 1315

11/24/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5The foliage colour is about the only thing I like about autumn. After the leaves have all gone and I know that winter is just around the corner I must admit I get a little depressed. I just can't wait until spring comes around. 1375

11/23/11 Voigtlaender Color Skoper 35 f2.5The Skopar again. Excellent image quality. Having just seen the prices of Leica lenses going through the roof I'm glad I enjoy these Voigtlaender lenses at a fraction of the price. Those people who bought some Leica lenses years ago are laughing all the way to the bank (if they decide to sell the lenses that is). However, my feeling is that those people don't buy the lenses just to make a profit. I pity those who have been trying to buy some Leica lenses for the past 12 months or so and have not been successful. They will now have to pay even more. I saw a list yesterday with the new prices, and I must say, pretty steep pricing in this day and age. A lot of money to pay for some lenses.
I know I won't be in a position to buy those (even if they were available), unless I win the Lotto. 1529

11/22/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5This is the Skopar agin at an aperture of aroun f4 or f5.6. That is one problem I find using these manual focus lenses on either a NEX or m4/3 cameras, either you remember which aperture you take every picture with or...well just forget it. I normally shoot wide open with these lenses but at times I just like to close the lens down and get everything in sharp focus. Here I just needed a couple of these leaves in focus. I was quite near the subject when I took this. 1783

11/21/11 Voigtlaender Color Skopar 35 f2.5I must say I love the quality of these lenses and the way reproduce the colour and the rendition in general. Doesn't look digital at all and is a real pleasure to look at. The Skopar 35 f2.5 is very well built and is tiny. Great on either the NEX or m4/3 cameras. You just have to get used to the handling. Very different from a normal DSLR. 1803

11/20/11 Pentax FA 43 f1.9 on Nex-5NVery nice rendition in this image from the Pentax lens. I also have the FA 31 f1.8 which I will have to test. I missed a lot of images using it on the m4/3 cameras because of the difficulty in focusing at f1.8. 2000
