12/23/12 Minimalist III think I would class this image as a bit of minimalist shot aswell. Not a lot there apart from that crazy looking cloud in the top left being highlighted. I just like these type of images, where less is more.

12/22/12 MinimalistI got back to my minimalist photography while strolling along the shores of Lake Garda in Italy last September. This lake is so huge you really can't consider it a lake, it's like a small ocean to me. On one day it was quite calm as sunset was approaching and I saw that these two wooden pylons were being lit by the sun. You couldn't see the far shore for haze and there were no vessels out at the time. Perfect minimalist shot. 1781

01/30/12 Minimalistic Images (PPS)Ok this is going to be the last one. Promise. Just found another L1 with the PL 14-150 combination image. This is a scene from inside a harbour on the north French coast. 1969
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 10/1000 sec ISO: 200 • Panasonic • L1 • PL 14-150 • minimalistic images
01/29/12 Minimalistic Images (post script)Typical. Just as I closed yesterdays post saying it was the last image in the minimalistic images series, this one popped up on my screen. The reason I wanted to to post it is because it NOT done with the Panasonic L1 and the PL 14-150 lens. It was doine with the Olympus E-PL1 and the Panasonic 45-200 lens. I think I've just realised why these shots have become few and far between since I've been using m4/3 cameras. The lenses I've been using have a shrter focal length. I haven't been using the long lenses nearly enough on these systems, and that is when I tend to do this type of photography.
I must admin I am not the short focal length type of photographer and I've been using some prime lenses lately to get me work harder at getting good images with these lenses. Trying to train my eye to see differently. 1936
E-PL1 Focal Length: 200 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 100 • Olympus • E-PL1 • 45-200 • minimalistic images
01/28/12 Minimalistic ImagesThis is the last of thes images (for now). I'll have to go back and rumage through my archives to find more. Not sure if this one really works though. The background is a little funky I think. That's because the lens isn't fast enough. This was shot at 150mm which means I can only open the lens up to f5.6. That's it's maximum aperture at that focal length. 1926
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 10/10000 sec ISO: 200 • Panasonic • L1 • PL 14-150 • minimalistic images
01/27/12 Minimalistic ImagesAgain, just look how small and vulnerable that guy is in his kayak. Not sure if that my cup of tea. I prefer some land mass beneath my feet. 2217
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 59 mm Aperture: f/11.0 Exposure Time: 10/1600 sec ISO: 200 • Panasonic • L1 • PL 14-150 • minimalistic images
01/26/12 Minimalistic ImagesAgain, very minimalistic. I was trying to show how small and helpless humans are on this world. I also liked how calm the Atlantic Ocean can be in this part of France (coast off Brittany). I can asure you, it is not this calm normally. 2441
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 109 mm Aperture: f/11.0 Exposure Time: 10/2500 sec ISO: 200 • Panasonic • L1 • PL 14-150 • minimalistic images
01/25/12 Minisalistic ImagesSome may not find this one all that minimalistic, but I do. It's just these two standing stones with the background blurred out somewhat. This is the disadvantage of these slow lenses of course. The background would have been totally blurred out if the lens had a f2.8 aperture. Ther would have been enough background separation for that.
By the way, notice how sharp the stones are in this image. Like I've said before here, in good light this lens is hard to beat. 2947
DMC-L1 Focal Length: 150 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 10/6400 sec ISO: 200 • Panasonic • L1 • PL 14-150 • minimalistic images
01/24/12 Minimalistic ImagesI was talking some days ago about my minimalistic images. I've found a few more since then and would like to post them showing just what I mean. As a matter of interest all of these images were shot with the Panasonic L1 and PL 14-150 lens. Personally I find that little fact interesting because since switching mostly to other systems, I tend NOT to do these images. I wonder why that is? 2109
