12/27/14 Panasonic GX7 - Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150 f4-5.6This is an excellent lens. Compact and sharp. After using this lens on the GX7 I have to admit that the GX7 is also an excellent camera. I've had really great results with every lens I've used on it. If you're looking for a small compact camera with a tilting EVF, look no further. 968

03/12/14 Panasonic G5 - Panasonic Vario 45-150 f4-5.6You find this lens normally as part of a two lens kit, or you can purchase it so for a couple of hundred Euros. It's small, well built and delivers very good image quality. Here's a link to the lens on the Panasonic site: 45-150 f4-5.6. Personally I find the lens very good and gives the user a 90-300mm equivalent focal length. That's quite amazing when you consider how small the lens is. Image quality is fine and I like the build construction Panasonic seem to have settled on. It looks robust and it gives that feel when holding these lenses. I tested this lens on the G5 and I can't fault it at all. Couple this with the 14-45 f3.5-5.6 lens and you have a nice pair for most of your needs. Of course, you will need good light for both lenses because they're not fast at all. If you need a fast lens for low light work you could purchase either the Panasonic 20 f1.7 or the excellent Panasonic 25 f1.4. 1336

01/02/14 Olympus OM-D E-M5 - Panasonic 45-150 f4-5.6If the PZ 14-42 f3.5-5.6 performed better on the E-M5, how would the relatively new 45-150 f4-5.6 perform? Well, pretty well actually. I'm just posting this one image from this combination as I didn't take too many images with it. I would say this lens performs well on both Olympus and Panasonic bodies and is a bargain at the price. It is also quite small and light. I can recommend this lens to all those who want a little more range than the kit lenses. 1121

06/23/13 Panasonic G5 - Panasonic 45-150 f4-5.6I thought I'd post this image since it's going to be the last post about this combination for now. Taken at 150mm. There was haze to be seen and it really shows in the image too. It took some work to get it to look the was it does but if you look carefully at the church, it is quite sharp. I think I should have used a pol filter here, it would have helped a little with the haze. It would have reduced it a bit but not eliminate it altogether. 1255

06/22/13 Panasonic G5 - Panasonic 45-150 f4-5.6I thought I would post all the various focal length images I took on this outing. This one is taken at 45mm and in 16:9 format. I like using this format for my wider images, it gives me more of the area that I want to document. Again, the image is sharp and I really can't complain about this lens. It's small and quite light but paired with the G5 you know you have a system in your hands, Some of the smaller cameras (notably the Nex-5N) is really small and I can understand it when people just can't use these system. Put a small Voigtländer prime on the Nex-5N and you won't even notice you're carrying it. The Nex-5N is also really light and I must admit that it is sometimes too light. I like some weight to my systems, I'm able to hold it steadier in my hands. 1093
