I was concentrating so much on getting some long range shots that I almost forgot to get some images at the other end of the zoom range. This image proves again that my copy of this lens is stellar. I can't complain obout the shrpness here. Can you?

09/27/12 Olympus mZD 75-3001317
E-M5 Focal Length: 75 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
09/26/12 Olympus mZD 75-300Now these Pelicans were just enjoying the sun in the middle of this lake. They were quite far away and made a perfect target for my 75-300 lens. Just how well the IS worked and the sharpness of the image proves to me that the combination of OM-D and the mZD 75-300 is just fantastic. 1754
E-M5 Focal Length: 300 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
09/25/12 Olympus mZD 75-300Now this lens used to cause me some grief with the E-P2 and the E-P3. I used to get a lot of lockups when using this lens on them. The handling wasn't all that great either. A lack of camera grip with this longish lens didn't make handling a joy to use.
The OM-D changed all that. I bought the grip to go with the camera as I knew I was going to be using this lens a lot of the time. I'm more of a long lens user rather than a wide lens user. The following images over the next few days will show just how good this lens is. 1584
E-M5 Focal Length: 75 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/160 sec ISO: 200 • Olympus • OM-D • E-M5 • mZD 75-300
09/12/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1The last image from this mini series for now. I thought this image would be great for a B&W conversion using my favourite software for this, namely SFXII. Still the best. I thought I would post the colour image here first before I post the conversion, which will be tomorrow. 1668
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/1250 sec ISO: 200 09/11/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1I'll have to remember to stop down a little with this lens but then I'd have to increase the ISO. I'm not terribly impressed with the high ISO performance of the E-PL1 but a bit of noise reduction might do the trick. I'll have to test it next time. It really doesn't make a difference if I use the E-PL1 or the E-P3. It's just that focusing on the latter is a lot better. 1325
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/1250 sec ISO: 200 09/10/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1Fascinating creatures don't you think. Very fast when they want to be but they can also stand so still for such a long time. This one posed quite nicely for me and I focused again the eye. Very nice colours. I did thank him for the pose before I left. 1658
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 200 09/09/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1I saw this lizard with his mouth open and I could just see the pink tounge inside. I focussed on the tounge and not the exes this time as I wanted that pink to come out in contrast to the rest of the image. Again wide open I maybe should have stopped down half a stop. Generally though, I like the image as dark as it is. 2039
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 200 09/08/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1This one was taken wide open and I was was pretty close to the subject with the hood of the lens resting on the plexiglass. If you look closely you will see that I got the front of the eyes in focus but the nose is not quite sharp. In future I need to stop down to maybe f2.5 or f2.8 when photographing at this close range. Live and learn again. 1923
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/1000 sec ISO: 200 09/07/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1I like taking this type of shot just to see how accurate focusing is with certain types of lenses and it gives me the chance to see how the bokeh is with these lenses wide open. I'm not complaining about this lens at all. It looks quite good. 1375
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/1.8 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 200 09/06/12 Olympus 45 f1.8 on the E-PL1I found it quite difficult to photograph at this aquarium because of the distorsion caused by the pexiglass installed. Just an inch in either direction made a big difference to the image quality and I lost quite a few images to this effect. 1203
