Note the table in the mural (also see yesterdays post). That mural was done more than 2000 years ago, and the table in the bottom right side of the image is that actual table. It was preserved in the mud/clay that covered Herculaneum in 79AD. It might just be me, but I found that fascinating and incredible that it survived so long.

It is an alternative touristic location to Pompeii although I preferred Pompeii myself. However, it is well worth the visit and is not too far away from Naples. 84
