I've got a few Pentax lenses stored away in boxes with the rest of my manual focus lenses, but unfortunately, time is at a premium and I don't get out as much as I would wish to use these older lenses.
On this occasion though, I mounted the Pentax Takumar 28 f2.8 on my favourite manual focus camera, the Sony Nex-5N. The image quality from this camera is astounding and if you haven't tried one, do, as you can get them very cheaply right now. I prefer it much more than the Nex-7 and I'm sure some people are going to think I've a screw loose somewhere for saying that.
The Pentax Takumar 28 f2.8 can be had today for €100, and believe me, that is a real bargain. I can't think of a single thing to say against this lens, it's cheap, pretty wide, focuses great on the Nex-5N and produces great images. I can recommend this lens to anyone who likes these legacy manual focus lenses. The adapter is very cheap too, costing around €10.
It can't get much better than that.
