After using the Fujifilm X-E1 for a few weeks, and looking extremely closely at the files and what I can achieve with them, I just couldn't pass up on the new Fujifilm X100S. And what a lovely little camera it is, fitting nicely in the palm of my hand to carry about. It's even better than the X-E1 to carry, but then it has a fixed 23mm f2 (35mm=35mm) lens on it.
Having never owned a fixed lens camera before, I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this because basically I'm a zoom kind of guy. Zoom lenses weren't really good in the days of film but with the computer aided design methods of today and with the advancement in technology, zoom design and manufacture means that the zooms of today are very good indeed. Having seen the images made with the Fujinon XF 18-55 f/2.8-4 kit lens, I think, says it all.
