I bought this lens on a whim after seeming some really nice images from it.

After trying to find the time to go out with it, I took the time last weekend and put all other obligations aside. After testing the lens around the house I was a bit dismayed by the quality I was getting. The mistake I did was not using the supplied hood. A tip for all users of this lens. Always use the hood with it. It really made a difference to the images. More to come from this lens in the next few days.
