Take a look at yesterdays post. Look really hard at the image and then come back to this one and compare the two. Notice a semblence? It's actually the same place, just photographed differently. One vertical and one horizontal. What I'm trying to say here is that always, always photograph a scene from every angle and in as many formats as you can. This includes vertical, horizontal, try a 1:1 ratio or in 16:9 ratio. You will be amazed, I'm sure of it.

This range of hills (well big hills) were made to be photographed. Located about an hours drive north-east of Malaga, southern Spain, it's not a region readily travelled by tourists. Most are down on the coast in those hideous hotels, lounging in the sun during the day and hitting the bars at night. Don't get me wrong, if that's what pushes their buttons fine but me...I much prefer these places for their beauty and the quiet that I like on my holidays. Lets me photograph in peace as well.

Taken with the E-P3 and mZD 14-150 lens half way up a mountain. I had just stopped for a beather and looked to my left. I just liked the way the mountainside broke the frame in half with the different coulours either side of the ridge. Many believe that the countryside in southern Spain is brown and arid, but after the winter months which do bring some rain, it turns green with an mazing display of different flowers.

I decided to get in close to some rocks on my visit to Spain. It's really is amazing what you see when taking a telephoto lens to get in close to something. I suppose you don't really see this when you are just walking by.

I took this panorama of the Sierra Nevada mountain range from the the Al Hambra in Grananda. It was quite hazy at the time but I think it's acceptable, especially since it's the only one I have.

Spotted this lone tree growing along one of the many paths traversed to get to mountain top. Photographing this gave me a good excuse to stop and have a breather. I just like the gree against the very blue sky. What I have noticed is that a blue sky is not just a blue sky. In southern countries the blue seems to be a deeper shade of blue. I prefer it to the blue of the northern European countries. I try and take in everytime, but it impresses me again the next time I see it.

At last! Seems I've been waiting for months for spring to arrive. Well, in Spain anyway. This bee was busy last week, all his interest was geared for the flowers now open. Once back home, I realised how much sooner spring arrived in Spain. Had a bit of a shock as I stepped off the aeroplane. Anyway, won't be long now.
