Surprise,Surprise!!

Surprise,Surprise!!

This is a very pleasant surprise. The image above was taken on the ver cheap Samsung 50-200 for the NX system.
When I purchased this (because I wanted something with more reach than the 18-55 kit lens), I would never have believed it to produce images of this quality. The 18-55 kit lens is also pretty good so I took a chance on this one. The lens is nothing special to look at. Actually, all these 50-200 lenses from all manufacturers look about the same, with the same build quality. I still have to give this lens a good workout, but from what I've seen so far, it performs pretty well. More images to come in the weeks ahead.

Sensor Size Image 1

Sensor Size Image 1

I've been asked quite often about actual sensor sizes in digital cameras.
This image and the one in the next post demonstrates the differences quite plainly.
When you compare what sensor is in the Leica S2 to the one in a Point & Shoot, you then realize why the quality of the images made by the S2 are far superior.
